PERFORMANCE DANCE
SPARK Dance is a beginners dance program in which all dancers will start for placement testing between June and July. Dancers are placed in Spark dance levels after testing based on their technical capabilities, copycat skills, and focus. The Jazz dance technique is taught along with Hip Hop, African, and contemporary. Our main focus in these classes are to help dancers with their core strength, coordination, performance, confidence, and leadership skill development. During the season, level 1 dancers do not attend competitions however, they do perform in our winter and spring recitals, city events and showcases. Level 2 dancers also perform in the same events above and may possibly attend 1 competition depending on their growth during the season.

They will also participate in all STEP program enrichment activities (based on grade level). Dancers can expect to perform in at least four or five (possibly six) performances in the dance season.
